Kobil phanawong, aged 63, was a cancer patient, they said.
He went to his room to sleep last night and was found dead in the morning, police said.
Settled in Bangkok, Kobil arrived here on April 22 to meet his mother who had married local man Ghanshyam Das.
Ghanshyam is no more and Kobil's mother lives in an apartment in Banipark area.
