Senior BJP leader C P Thakur today stood by his remark giving "clean chit" to former chief minister Nitish Kumar in the alleged medicine purchase scam, but demanded an impartial, detailed and a neutral probe by a reputed agency like the CBI to bring the culprits to book.
"I am not going to repeat what I said yesterday, but I stand by my remark giving clean chit to Kumar in the alleged medicine scam," he told PTI.
When asked that his own party (BJP) has disowned his stand, Thakur refused to join issue with his party colleagues, but said that as far as he was concerned he stood by remark giving clean chit to Kumar.
