Thane cluster development plan to be discussed with CM

The district 'cluster development' programme will be soon discussed with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Thane guardian minister Eknath Khadse said.

The meeting, to be held on June 16, has been convened to expedite plans under 'cluster development' programme, an official release from the guardian minister's office said today.

Under cluster development, infrastructure projects like demolition of dilapidated buildings and construction of new ones, roads etc, will be undertaken.

"In the meeting, review of the current projects, problems faced like delay in implementation, steps to solve them etc, will be discussed," Shinde was quoted as saying.

The cluster development programme in Thane was announced last year to solve problems arising out of illegal and dilapidated structures and after completion of the programme, it will be a boon for the city, it said.
