Actress Anne Hathaway paid a sweet tribute to director Garry Marshall for casting her as a princess in the 2001 romantic comedy "The Princess Diaries".
The 33-year-old star shared a clip from the film, which completes its 15 years today, on her Instagram and thanked the late filmmaker for the role, which was her breakout performance.
"And to Garry Marshall, thank you for making me a princess. I love you always my beloved friend and teacher, and I miss you every day xx," she wrote.
