Union Minister and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who was embroiled in a controversy over IPL Kochi franchisee two years ago, today steered clear of the raging spot-fixing and betting scandal involving the lucrative T20 league.

"Ask me anything other than IPL," he said when media persons sought his reaction on the scandal.

The Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development was here to address a management conference.

Tharoor, soon after the arrest of pacer S Sreesanth on spot-fixing charges, had said the Kerala cricketer should not be held guilty until he is proven so in court.

The MP from Thiruvananthapuram had to resign from the Union Ministry in 2010 over a controversy related to now-defunct IPL Kochi team.
