'The Avengers' stars Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth have taken special selfies to help grant a dying man's final wish.

Other actors from the superhero film who have supported the cause are Samuel L Jackson (Nick Fury), Chloe Bennet (Agent Skye), Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) and Cobie Smulders (Agent Maria Hill), reported Ace Showbiz.

Sophie Caldecott's father Stratford is a huge fan of the Marvel comic book and films, but he was too sick to watch 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' when it was released in cinemas because of his advanced prostate cancer.

Sophie is trying to fulfill her father's dying wish to see the film by getting an early copy of the DVD and she also asked 'The Avengers' actors to take selfies with the hashtag #CapForStrat so she can show her dad the stars' support.
