Rare pictures of the legendary band The Beatles posing with their cartoon counterparts from the film 'Yellow Submarine' are set to be sold at an auction later this month.

In the snaps the members can be seen visiting the London studio where the 1968 movie was made, reported Daily Mirror.

The musicians can also be seen meeting life-sized cut-outs of their animated selves.

The collection of more than 150 snaps is expected to fetch as much as 40,000 pounds when it goes on sale at Omega Auctions in Stockport on November 29.

The pictures are believed to be taken between 1967 and 1968 by photographer Stephen Archetti.
