"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will make its presence felt in the upcoming season nine of the comedy series "The Big Bang Theory."

While the writers are still working on how to feature the storyline on the show, executive producer Steve Molaro has given his nod to the idea, reported Aceshowbiz.

"We're talking about how that will be weaved into (the guys') lives. And we have some really cool ideas. It would be weird for us not to mention (The Force Awakens)," Molaro said.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar), the popular characters of the CBS TV series have made many references to the franchise over the years.

"Obviously, we're all excited about it, just as human beings - and the characters are as well. I don't know exactly how it's going to play in, but it won't be ignored."

"The Big Bang Theory" season nine will premiere on September 21.
