Hollywood star Owen Wilson has teamed up with the rock band, The Killers, for their new Christmas song.

The band, consisting of Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning' Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr, revealed plans to release a new track called 'Christmas In LA' on December 1 to coincide with World Aids Day, reported Daily Express.

Wilson, 45, will appear in the video along with actor Harry Dean Stanton.

"You'll never see us smile or let our hair down as much as when we do the Christmas stuff. It always turns out to be a lot of work but it's really refreshing... This year, the song's about a struggling actor in LA, who misses the traditional Christmas," Flowers said.

"We got Owen Wilson to do the video, and there are cameos from Harry Dean Stanton and an animated (late rocker) Warren Zevon. I'm so excited about it," he added.

The single will raise money for AIDS charities.
