"The Script" wants to work with Rihanna, drummer Glen Power has said.

The title track "Rain" from their latest album 'Freedom Child' has Jamaican tunes similar to the 29-year-old singer's songs "Work" and "Man Down".

Power told Bang Showbiz, "It would be amazing to work with Rihanna. Wouldn't that be so awesome? We are always open to working with anybody."

Talking about its departure from straight up pop rock, the percussionist said the group tried to do something different.

"At the end of the day, it's still The Script, the content is similar and the themes are of love, loss and heartache. We are still The Script, we are just putting on a different coat that is all," they said.

The Script also comprises lead singer Danny O' Donoghue and guitarist Mark Sheehan.
