Following the massive sexual harassment scandal involving their co-founder Harvey Weintein, embattled The Weinstein Company has removed its name from three films due for home release.
The Hollywood studio has scrubbed its logo and Weintein's name from the upcoming home video releases of "Wind River", "Leap!", and "Tulip Fever", according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The move, designed to allay the concerns of filmmakers who fear their movies might suffer due to the scandal, is "highly unusual", insiders told THR.
The company's logo could be removed from earlier movies as well but no decision will be taken until the company's future is decided.
"Wind River", helmed by "Hell and High Water" writer Taylor Sheridan, was released in August and praised by critics.
The indie crime drama, about the brutal murder of a young woman on an Indian reservation, stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen, and will be available for purchase on digital platforms, including Amazon and iTunes, followed by its DVD release in November.
Weinstein was fired from the company he co-founded with his brother Bob after the New York Times did a detailed expose of Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct.
More than 50 women, including celebrities such as Lupita Nyong'o, Lena Headey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie and Cara Delevingne, have come forward since the October 5 report.
