Unidentified persons stole valuables worth Rs 5.75 lakh from a room at Om Sai International Hotel here, co-owned by television actor Dayanand Shetty.
Dinesh Manjunath Nayak and his wife, Mumbai residents, had checked into the room on April 6.
The thiefs, who possibly entered through an open window in the early hours of April 7, made away with gold ornaments, three mobiles phones and some Saudi dinars.
Nayak today lodged the complaint.
Dayanand Shetty is a popular small screen actor in CID serial.
