An audio-visual theme song for the assembly polls reflecting the achievements of the Congress government in Delhi in the last 15 years was released here by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Penned by national award winning lyricist Prasoon Joshi, the 3-minute theme song 'Nahin Rukegi meri Dilli' talks about the need to sustain the ongoing development works in the next five years and that the pace of development is going to result in an another victory of Congress.

"Nehi Rukegi Meri Dilli. Anubhav Hei, Raftar hei, Congress phir isbaar hei (My Delhi will not stop. There is experience and there is momentum; Congress once again," says the lead lines of the song sung by Daler Mehndi.

The song is powered by visuals dating back to the launch as well as implementation of various welfare schemes and infrastructure projects.

The shots showing Dikshit and common men from all sections of the society have been synchronised with the words delivered by the singers.

Dikshit said the short film would be screened in the theatres as well as in all the constituencies through mobile vans.

"We are going to the polls with full confidence," Dikshit said after a special screening of the video for the media at her residence. Her cabinet colleagues Harun Yusuf, Arvinder Singh and senior MLA Mukesh Sharma were present on the occasion.

The audio visual song refers to the airport, CNG- propelled public transport fleet, regularisation of 895 colonies, laying of water pipelines in these colonies, grant of ownership rights to residents of 45 resettlement colonies, power supply and construction of 130 flyovers and foot over- bridges.

It also highlighted various schemes like Annshri Yojana, kerosine-free Delhi schme, setting up of five new universities and results of government schools in the CBSE Board exam.
