Actor Theo James says he spent a month on physical training to have a powerful presence in his upcoming sci-fi film 'Divergent'.

The 29-year-old actor trained hard to perform stunts for the film where he is playing a role of Tobias 'Four' Eaton, reported Contactmusic.

"We had about a month of training, which was great. I wanted my character 'Four', to have a powerful presence physically so you felt you didn't want to mess with him," James said.

His character in the movie is of the leader a rebellious group who pride themselves on their bravery.

"It's actually quite different. There is of course crossover, the strong female lead and a future where the world has gone through some kind of catastrophe war, but generally that's where the comparison ends. It's more about identity," he added.

'Divergent', is based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth and stars stars Shailene Woodley as Beatrice 'Tris' Prior as the female lead. It will be released later this month.
