Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari today said that "overwhelming" response to Congress rally at Amritsar was indicative of a desire for political "change" in Punjab.
The former Union Minister, who inaugurated a tubewell at Daba Colony here, said the kind of response the party received for its Saturday rally proved that there was a desire for political change in the state.
He said the people of Punjab have high hopes from Congress as the Akali-BJP government has failed them.
Tewari said that when people compare the eight years of Akali-BJP regime to the previous five years of Capt Amarinder, they want Congress to return to power.
