Days after the ruling NDA government at the Centre suggested that conversion could be banned, its minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti today said there should be no ban on conversion if someone prefers it at his will.
"I think there should be no ban on conversion, if someone wants it at his will. However, there should be no forcible conversion," Jyoti, who was here to attend a programme, told reporters.
The Union minister had recently sparked a row with her controversial remark. Both the houses of Parliament saw disruption for several days before the minister apologised.
