Theron in talks to produce and star in 'American Express'

Actress Charlize Theron is in talks to produce and star in indie drama 'American Express'.

The film is being directed by 'The Square' helmer Nash Edgerton and will be seeking financing in the Cannes Film Festival, reported the Wrap.

Theron will produce the film through her Denver & Delilah banner, which recently optioned Susannah Cahalan's bestselling book 'Brain On Fire: My Month Of Madness' as a star vehicle for Dakota Fanning.

Theron will next be seen in Seth MacFarlane's comedy 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'.

She'll also star with Chloe Moretz and Christina Hendricks

in 'Dark Places' and opposite Javier Bardem in Sean Penn's African romance 'The Last Face'.
