Former Kerala Transport Minister Jose Thettayil's son, an accused in a sexual harassment case, today approached the High Court seeking to quash the complaint and criminal proceedings against him.

Adarsh was arraigned as second accused along with Thettayil and was charged with offences under section 376 of the IPC (Rape).

The complaint and FIR against Jose Thettayil, an MLA, had been quashed by the court on August 1.

The petitioner also claimed relief as the allegations against him are also similar.

According to the complaint filed by a 30-year-old woman, both father and son had sexually exploited her and Thettayil had promised to get his son married to her.

The court had found the allegations baseless and quashed the complaint and further proceedings against Thettayil.
