Thick fog enveloping parts of Uttar Pradesh led to several road accidents since last evening, claiming seven lives and leaving 24 injured.
Five people, including a nurse, were killed in separate accidents in dense fog in Mathura, police said.
In Azamgarh, one person was killed and 20 were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck in Tarwan area early this morning.

Twenty bus passengers were also injured, they said.
Another road mishap took place last evening on Meerut-Karnal highway which was engulfed in fog.
Pritam Singh was killed when the motorcycle he was riding fell into Khokni river, police said.
In another accident, four persons were seriously injured when the tractor they were travelling in collided with a truck on Delhi-Pauri highway.
