Both domestic and global auto majors such as Skoda, Audi, Toyota, Volvo, Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, BMW Bikes and Cars, Bajaj Auto among others are participating in the four-day event, which was inaugurated by bollywood star John Abaraham.
"This year is very difficult but it is a year filled with enthusiasm. Whether it is rain or shine, the automobile industry always has to be on the upfront and perform to its very best. The show is for those who like cars and bikes, take part in some off road action", MIMS chief spokesperson Adil Jal Darukhanawala, said at the inauguration.
The display of vintage cars is one of the special features of the show.
Seven time world champion, rally car driver Hannu Mikkola was a special invitee on the occasion.
