Thirteen people have died and 24 others injured in two separate road accidents in Nepal, police said today.
Eight persons were killed and 12 others seriously injured when a van ferrying passengers to Taplejung district in eastern Nepal veered off the highway at Dokhu.
The injured were rushed to Taplejung district hospital.
In a separate incident, five persons were killed and 12 others injured when a jeep heading to Ghurmi from Katari skidded off the road and fell into a 300 meter-deep gorge at Sirise area of Udayapur district yesterday night.
The injured were sent to Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar for treatment.
