Thomas Cook India opens four outlets in North India

Thomas Cook India has opened four outlets in North India to tap the strong potential of source markets in the region, the travel services provider said today.

This augments the company's distribution and reach in North India to 42 consumer access centres, of which 13 are owned branches and 29 franchise outlets, Thomas Cook India said in a statement.

The new outlets will be in NCR's Rajouri Garden, Pitampura, Lajpat Nagar and Jodhpur in Rajasthan, it added.

"North India is a powerful source market for us at Thomas Cook India and we are witnessing strong growth of over 25 per cent year-on-year across our leisure travel businesses lines," Thomas Cook India President and Country Head Leisure Travel and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), Rajeev Kale said.
 

The company's strategic intent is to maximise on this market potential via organic expansion and it has carefully selected high footfall centres for the new outlets in prime catchment locations, he added.

The stock of Thomas Cook (India) Ltd was today trading at Rs 243 in the afternoon trade on BSE, down 0.43 per cent from its previous close.
