Actor Thomas Jane is in talks to join the cast of "The Predator" alongside Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn.

The 47-year-old actor is in final negotiations with Twentieth Century Fox to take up a role in the reboot of the popular 1987 sci-fi movie which will be helmed by director Shane Black, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Thomas' casting announcement comes after Sterling K Brown, Keegan-Michael Key, and Trevante Rhodes, were all recently announced as joining the movie as it prepares to head to production in Vancouver in February.

Details about Thomas' role are not yet known, as much of the plot details are also being kept under wraps by the studio and its production team.

Boyd Holbrook is set to star alongside Olivia Munn in the movie's lead role, which is said to involve an array of the alien hunters first made famous in the 1987 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The casting of Boyd comes after the movie's original lead actor, Benicio Del Toro, reportedly fell out with the studio over scheduling disagreements and dropped out of the production.

Black has already revealed the main character's name in his "Predator" movie will be Quinn McKenna.
