'Thorough probe needed in scams in BJP ruled states & TN'

: Left parties in the district today decided to stage a protest demonstration here on July 20, seeking a thorough probe under Supreme Court supervision in various scams in some BJP rules states and Tamil Nadu, appearing in the press.

The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of office bearers of CPIM, CPI and CPI (ML-Liberation) here.

The meeting discussed issues like reported misuse of official power by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj in the wake of former IPL boss Lalit Modi's revelations, Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh and death of 47 persons related to it, PDS issue in Chattisgarh, besides the scam in Maharashtra involving two ministers, V Ramamurthi, District CPI(M) president, said.
 

The protest would also highlight the alleged corruption and scam in Tamil Nadu in granite and sand mining issues and and also reported bribes being accepted for transfers,he said.

The parties would demand a Supreme Court monitored probe in all these scams and to bring to book the culprits and punish them, Ramamurthi said.
