Three Afghan nationals arrested

Three Afghan nationals were arrested from Surajpur area here this evening for allegedly staying in the country without valid documents.

Hidayat Ullah, Firoz and Samiullah, all residents of Kabul, were arrested for failing to produce their passport and Visa documents, police here said.

Two of them were living in Delhi and one at Greater Noida sector Alpha, they said, adding a case was registered against them under Indian Passport Act and Foreigners Act.

The three Afghan nationals were in a car having a red beacon light and they were stopped by Samajwadi Party district president Fakir Chand Nagar near Durga Talkies to inquire about them, police said.
 

As the Afghan nationals failed to provide satisfactory answers regarding their identity and the use of red beacon light on the car, the Samajwadi Party leader called police.

On being asked about Passport and Visa, the trio said that they belonged to Afghanistan and were students but failed to produce the valid documents, police said.
