Three persons, including two
State Bank of India employees, were arrested by Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Police today on the charge of disbursing loans on the basis of fake documents.
The three were accused of causing a loss of more than Rs 67 lakh to the bank in 2006, said Crime Branch DIG Sanjay Kumar.

The trio had allegedly sanctioned loans to 39 beneficiaries in the name an orphanage and special school at Nuapada in Cuttack on the basis of fake documents in 2006.
The bank's vigilance wing conducted a probe into the matter suspecting a scam as the loans were not repaid by the due date. The bank had earlier filed an FIR with the crime branch.
