Three students hailing from Manipur and studying at the North Eastern Hill University here were arrested for assaulting and molesting a tea stall worker in the university campus, the police said.
They were arrested, but were later released after they secured anticipatory bail from a local court, they said.
East Khasi Hills district SP M Kharkrang said the trio, who were involved in the crime on February 27, had absconded but surrendered at Mawlai PS with an interim pre-arrest bail from the court.
