The three were arrested yesterday after investigation showed that the two bank employees and their associate had misappropriate the money and made false claims in an FIR, said Superintendent of Police Avinash Kumar.
The accused were identified as manager of Manatri branch of Bandhan Bank, Bhajan Kar and Doorstep Officer of the bank, Sitaram Sahu and their associate Braja Sekhar Pradhan.
Sahu had on April 5 lodged an FIR at Barasahi police station alleging that four unidentified persons looted Rs 3.4 lakh at gun point near Durgapur while he along with the branch manager was returning from Baripada Branch of the bank in a bike, he said.
