Three arrested for graft in Raj

A woman and her son were among the three persons arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau today for taking bribe in separate cases in Rajasthan.

Lehri Bai Meena, Sarpanch of Saimaliya Panchayat in Chittorgarh district and her son Devi Lal were held for accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000.

"They had demanded the bribe from one Mangilal for giving him ownership papers of his land which were prepared in a government camp some time back," IG-ACB Smita Srivastava said here.

In another case, the General Manager of Jila Udyog Kendra in Nagaur district, Anwar Hussain, was trapped while accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 from a Hyderabad based private company's manager.
 

The firm was planning to set a up a plant in Nagaur and the accused officer demanded the bribe for its registration, the police official said.

"All the accused have been arrested," she said.
