Three arrested for human trafficking

Delhi police today claimed to have busted a gang of human traffickers with the arrest of three persons from Amroha district of Uttar Pradesh.

Two kidnapped children were also rescued, according to a police statement.

Ravinder alias Pappu (25), Ankit alias Bittoo (23), Rajeev Singh (28) were allegedly part of a gang which targeted children in the age of 10-15 years and then transported them from Delhi to Amroha in UP for indulging in child labour, it said.

The police first nabbed Ravinder from Amroha, UP after it received a tip off that a child who had been kidnapped from Khajuri Khas was being used as a bonded labour at Dariyapur village of the district. The child was later rescued from his house.
 

On sustained interrogation, Ravinder allegedly disclosed that he purchased the kidnapped children from two persons namely Rajeev and Ankit Bittoo and sold them to farmers of nearby villages and his own labour work.

Later, Ankit and Rajeev were also arrested on the instance of Ravinder and another kidnapped child was rescued in a miserable condition from the nearby fields, the police said.
