Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested three employees of the state Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department for the alleged sexual harassment of a female colleague.
Three persons - Ajaz Ahmad, Waseem Mukhtar and Abdul Qayoom - have been taken into custody under section 294 of the RPC, after the female employee filed a complaint in Shaheed Gunj police station here, a police spokesperson said today.
The female staffer on Monday lodged the complaint accusing five persons of sexual harassment, police said, adding, the hunt is on to apprehend the other two accused.

Meanwhile, an NGO has filed a complaint in National Commission for Women demanding stringent punishment for the guilty.
"We have filed a complaint in the National Commission for Women because the security of women is a primary concern of the society. The persons found guilty of this heinous crime of sexually harassing a woman must be given exemplary punishment," Bashir Ahmed Bhat Chairman Citizen's Welfare Council, a Srinagar-based NGO, said in a statement.
