Three persons were arrested from Dharamshala road under Sasaram town police station in Bihar's Rohtas district for illegally carrying 65 kg silver, the police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a search operation last night and arrested three carrying 65 kg of silver without any valid papers, Superintendent of Police (SP), Shivdeep Lande, said.
Lande said the estimated cost of the seized silver was over Rs 20 lakh in the market.
The arrested persons were being interrogated for further details of the illegal trade, the SP added.
