Three persons from Basti district were arrested and 16.15 kg contraband worth over Rs 5 crores in international market was recovered from them, police said.
Badruddin, Amiruddin and Mohd Shahid were arrested by Special Task Force (STF) yesterday with refined Charas weighing 16.15 kg, worth over Rs 5 crores in the international market, IG, Law and Order, A Satish Ganesh said.
During interrogation, Badruddin told STF that he used to bring narcotics from Krishnanagar (Nepal) for selling it in different parts of country.
About the present consignment, Badruddin said he was going to deliver it to some persons in Sonipat (Haryana).
