Three 'ashtadhatu' idols, estimated to be worth Rs 2 crore, have been allegedly stolen from an ancient temple in Nagva village here, police said today.

The 'ashtadhatu' (a combination of eight metals) idols of Venkatesh, Laxmi and Bhudevi, weighing a total of 80 kg, were stolen last night after the temple doors were cut open in the village under Dubhar police station area, they said.

The accused also took away some other idols made of stone, police said, adding efforts are on to arrest the culprits.
