Three boys drown in the Ganges in Bihar

Three teenagers drowned in the Ganga River in Sonbarsa village under Balia police station area in Begusarai district of Bihar today.

Their bodies have been recovered with the help of divers and local villagers, police said.

Police officers said the boys - Golu Kumar, Keshav Kumar and Adarsh Kumar Kumar, all in the age group of 14 to 15 years, had come to their relative's place to attend a wedding. The incident happened when they went to take a bath in the Ganga.

"It seems the three boys ventured into deep water and met a watery grave. We have sent the bodies to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for postmortem and registered a case of unnatural death," said Balia SHO Azadi Ram.
 

All the deceased are relatives. Among them Golu was a resident of Barbigha village in Lakhisarai district, while Keshav is from Shankarpur Bakhadda village and Adarsh is from the district headquarters in Begusarai, the police added.
