Three brothers among five held for tanker owner's murder

A day after the murder of a tanker owner here, police today arrested five suspects, including three brothers.

The tanker owner, Rakshpal Singh (32) alias Veer, was killed by assailants armed with knives in Lasudia area yesterday.

Police swung into action and nabbed five persons in connection with the murder, which was fallout of old enmity, an official said.

These include three brothers - Rajesh, Ritu and Mukul Sonawane - and their associates Devendra and Manoj, said Lasudia Police Station In-charge Narendra Gaharwar.

A pistol, cartridges, knives and two motorcycles were seized from them, he said, adding another accused is absconding.
