Three burnt to death in land rivalry case

Three persons were brunt to death today in a case of land rivalry at Marjang Pathar village under Murajhar police station in Hojai subdivision.

According to police officers, three persons identified as Tabarak Ali and his two sons Faizuddin and Niazuddin were burnt to death this morning due to land dispute.

A land dispute was going on between Ali and Hayat Ullah, leading to a legal battle for a long period.

This morning, Ali and his two sons were on their way to the court and when they reached in front of the residence of Ullah, the trio were first attacked with sharp weapons and later burnt to death by pouring petrol on them.
 

Soon after this angry people attacked Ullah and set ablaze his house. Four persons were injured in this.

Police reached the spot and the situation was brought under control.

Further investigation is going on, police said.
