Three commit suicide over domestic disputes

Three persons, including a woman, committed suicide in separate incidents allegedly over domestic disputes in various districts of Kanpur.

30-year-old school teacher Dimple Gupta, a resident of Kalyanpur, hanged herself in her courtyard yesterday evening after going through a series domestic disputes with her husband, police said.

Her husband Sunesh Kumar is absconding, they added.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 38-year-old, Rajendra Pal, resident of Gwaltoli district here took the extreme step after having a marital disagreement with his wife.

Pal consumed poison after which he was rushed to a hospital, where he died, police said.

Another victim of marital discord, identified as Vashu (30), committed suicide by jumping before a moving train near Jhakarkati pull here.
 

It is believed that constant fights spouted between the couple. The wife is being interrogated, the police said.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy hanged himself to death, although the cause of suicide is unknown.

All the bodies are sent for post-mortem, they said.
