A court in Bihar's Nawada district today convicted three persons to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 12,000 on each after finding them guilty in a murder case nine years ago.
The Ad hoc Additional District and Sessions Judge-II Vikram Singh passed the order convicting Upendra Singh, Rajkaran Singh and Sanjay Singh to lifer and imposed Rs 12,000 fine on each after finding them guilty in the killing of Basant Singh.
According to prosecution, the convicts had beaten Singh to death with iron rods at Sigwali village in Narhat police station area on July 18, 2004, following a dispute over a drainage.
The victim's kin had lodged an FIR against three persons charging them with the murder of Singh.
