Acting on tip off, the police raided the hideout near Gouraila hills and arrested the ultras when they were planning collection of levy from brick kiln on the instruction of their jailed superiors, Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj said.
They are wanted in at least 15 cases of Maoist activities
in the district, he said.
The police also arrested an ex-Maoist-turned-criminal from Mati village and seized a country-made rifle and four ammunitions from him, Maharaj said, adding the man was wanted in a firing case at the camp office of a construction company last month.
In another incident, a truck robber was held with a country-made pistol and ammunitions from Qadirganj area in the district, the SP added.
