The police claimed to have cracked a case of robbery here with the arrest of three persons from Sahibabad area of the district.
Acting on a tip off, a police team laid a trap near G G farm house in Shalimar Garden, SHO Sahibabad R N Singh Yadav said.
Parvez Alam, Ali Mohammad and Alim opened fire on the police team after being asked to surrender.
Following an exchange of fire, the three were arrested, Yadav said, adding Parvez is suspected to be associated with Devendra Rana, who is accused in a loot in Delhi.
