Three-day all India moot court from October 6

A three-day all India moot court competition, exclusively for women students of law colleges in the country, will be held at the premises of the Dr Ambedkar Government College here from October 6.

Chief Minister V Narayanasamy told reporters here today that the competition is being organised by the 'Advocate M P Govindan Nambiyar Memorial Foundation (Kerala)' andwomen students from 42 law colleges from different parts of the country would participate in the competition.

The purpose of holding the moot court was to augment the arguing skills of the students and government law college here had been holding the event since the last more than 40 years.
 

The debate would cover various issues and rights of the women including legal issues concerning them in society.

This is the first time that an all women moot court competition is being held in the country, he said.
