Over 30,000 books on different topics are on display at a mega exhibition-cum-sale, which began today at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University here.
The main aim of the expo was to garner support from various quarters to inculcate reading habit and to promote the purchase of books, which was fading nowadays due to the onslaught of ICT tools, Dr H Philip, Special Officer, Public Relation and Public Relations, along with the Library Staff of TNAU, said.
Dr K Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU inaugurated the exhibition.
A total of 29 companies from Coimbatore, Bangalore, Chennai, Kerala, New Delhi, Madurai and Karaikudi, are participating.
