Three dead, four injured in accident in UP's Hathras

Three people were killed while four others sustained serious injuries in an accident between a tempo traveller and a tractor-trolley in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Thursday.

According to Hathras Circle Officer Ram Shabd Yadav, the accident took place on Wednesday around 7 pm.

"A tempo traveller coming from Sadabad hit the tractor-trolley in Bisana area of the district. The accident took place as the tractor driver tried to overtake the tempo traveller," Yadav said.

One of the deceased has been identified as Kishan Singh (58) while the identity of the others is yet to be ascertained, the circle officer added.

 

The bodies have been sent for a post mortem, Yadav said.

He added that four people who were travelling in the tempo traveller sustained serious injuries and have been sent to a hospital in Agra for treatment.

The tractor has been seized.
