Three persons, including a minor, died due to asphyxia when they went down into a well to save a goat, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when Aman (13), Narsingpal (50) and Abdul (30) went inside a well to save a goat which had fallen in it. They died due to suffocation as they could not come out of the well, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Tundla, Pankaj Verma said.
Locals later fished out their bodies in presence of district administration officials, he said, adding the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
