Three persons, including two girls, were killed while one injured when a mound of mud they were digging caved in near here today, police said.
Sandhya Kaul (14), Kajal (16) and Rajendra Kaul (18) were digging a mound of mud for some construction work near Parque river in Churhat area of the district, when it collapsed on them, Churhat police station Inspector Jagdish Patel said.
Another girl Vidya Kaul (18), who was also present at the site, sustained injuries and was admitted to a government hospital in Churhat.
A case has been registered in this regard and was further investigation was on.
