A woman along with her two
daughters, drowned in Sai river in Salon area, police said here today.
Neelam (35) went to the river to wash cloths along with her two daughters Shivkumari (12) and Rajkumari (10) yesterday, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Hari Narain Singh said.
Rajkumari drowned while taking bath. In a bid to save her, Neelam and Shivkumari also drowned, the ASP said.
He said that the bodies have been fished out and sent for postmortem.
