Three eunuchs nabbed for extorting money from passengers

Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) apprehended three eunuchs for allegedly troubling passengers and extorting money from them during a journey on the Vijayawada-Warangal route.

According to South Central Railway (SCR), three eunuchs boarded into a general compartment of Bangalore-Patna Sangamitra Express on April 14 at about 00.45 hrs and started demanding money from a passenger.

Despite the passenger shelling out Rs 100 to them, the trio forcibly clinched an amount of Rs 5,000 available with him, an SCR release issued here today said, adding, the co-passengers immediately pulled the alarm chain after taking note of the incident.
 

RPF Train escorting staff and GRP Warangal, rushed to the train and nabbed the three eunuchs.

A registered has been registered in this regard and an investigation was taken up, it said.

On further investigation by GRP Warangal, it was revealed that a similar complaint was already lodged against the three eunuchs by a passenger at Beitul railway station for extorting an amount of Rs 27,000, the release added.
