Three persons were sentenced to ten years imprisonment by a special court here for gangraping a minor Dalit girl after abducting her when she was returning from a bank after withdrawing her scholarship amount in 2013.

Pronouncing the sentence, Special Judge (SC/ST) Morena, J K Verma also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the trio--Satish Dhakad, Gyan Singh and Dharmendra Rawat--yesterday.

The incident took place on October 18, 2013 when the 13-year-old was returning from a bank in Kailaras tehsil here and the accused kidnapped her at knife point and later gangraped her, the prosecution said today.

The trio took turns to rape her in a house after terrorising her with a knife.

The victim somehow escaped from their clutches and reached home to narrate her ordeal following which a case was registered against the trio in Kailaras Police Station.
