Three get life term for murdering SAF jawan

A special court here today awarded life imprisonment to three persons for murdering a Special Armed Forces (SAF) personnel in 2012.

Special Additional Sessions Judge A K Singh held the accused Hari (25), Sushil (38) and Santosh (48) guilty under section 302 of IPC for murdering Dharmendra Singh Tomar (45) on August 26, 2012.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the convicts.

Prosecution advocate Jyoti Tomar said the trio stabbed Tomar to death as he had asked them not to consume liquor on the premises of a temple here.

According to the prosecution, Tomar tried to take on his assailants with his belt but was overpowered by them.
